I believe there was a sale going on when I bought this, because the price is a little high for just four locomotives. I think as a ‘heritage’ pack, that it should include P40DC #822. I know that 822 was originally for the exhibit train, but the veterans unit has pretty much replaced that duty. Out of the four times that I’ve seen 822, only once was on the exhibit train. Other than that, the P42s accurately replicate the real deal. Each individual loco has fantastic detail, and the paint scheme has no flaws that I can see. I believe that #184 is the best looking locomotive on the Amtrak roster. That should be the standard paint scheme! Back to the JointedRail models, the custom cab is the best, and the opening doors, the lights, and all the other bells and whistles (horns really) all make it worth the money. This is a fantastic product, and I highly recommend it to all of you considering it!
